I installed a replacement router last night. The equipment I had been using was previously supplied free by my ISP. I've given it over a year but during that time we have been experiencing random wi fi dropouts. Because they are random it is impossible to predict when it's going to happen and I've heard and read other people comment the same. So, I decided to buy a new router and try it. All seems good so far.

I recently had to replace a router I'd had about four years or so. It had stopped working and when I called my ISP was amazed I'd had it so long. So they sent a new one and I was back in business :)
I'm glad it was a simple fix, having broadband is a necessity. I can't imagine a world without the net now. 4 years is not a long time for a router, there are no moving parts so why shouldn't they be built to last?
