Lunchtime chat

We're sitting around the dining table eating lunch. It's a Saturday lunchtime and the song Free Nelson Mandela is playing because we have the PC on and iTunes running. My 5 year old daughter knows the song but doesn't know who Nelson Mandela is, and being 5 years old why would she right? OK, so my wife and I explain to her who he was and what happened to him. And it occurs to me how the world changes during our lifetime but also why history is important and what an incredible life and story that of Nelson Mandela's is. To go on to be the head of State after 25 years in prison is like just mindblowing isn't it? I just thought I had to post this mini-episode of my life.
