In honour of Tara's
April calendar, since I suggested this day I felt I ought to make the effort and write a poem about water. Well, I couldn't do it. Just didn't have enough time to compose a poem about something as neutral as water. But I suggested it because it is a great theme for a poem, there are lots of ways it can be interpreted. My poem on the theme of water is about relationships, like all my poems turn out to be infact in one way or another! So, without further ado here is my offering (hope the formating isn't lost):
Water
Peace,
In my bath
April shower outside
Rivulets of rain, drawn on window
Channels break, reform, connect
I submerge
Sound is muffled
Isolated, in my memories
You return, silently
I surface
Wash, scrub
Futile, I can’t forget
Our riptide

Hey, I like that poem! I wrote one for today, called "Ode to L'Eau Épurée".
Purified Water! I had to visit your blog to understand the title, my French is basic - real basic!
Wow, that's gorgeous poetry -- the REAL kind. I'll have to settle for a Haiku:
A glass of water
Is something I only drink
When I'm plain thirsty.
Otherwise I'll have
An icy, cold and refreshing
Can of bubbly Coke.
LOL, I know just that feeling! Playing with words is SO much fun isn't it? I could do it all day long!
I love Haiku. Nicole, you have me thirsty for Coke now. :)
I love Haiku too, so simple and beautiful!
